HP targets oil and gas in Saudi Arabia

HP and Al-Bilad Arabia have come together in Saudi Arabia targeting the oil and gas industry. The two companies will work on localising HP solutions for large SAP projects in the region.

HP services together with SAP consultancy offered by Al-Bilad Arabia will help oil and gas customers improve business processes, implement IT solutions and systems seamlessly with the existing infrastructures and provide ongoing maintenance and enhancement of IT applications as necessary.

“We are very excited about the great potential with of our partnership with HP as it will help us deliver high quality services to our customers in the oil and gas industry”, said Nabil Reda, Vice President, Al-Bilad Arabia. “We, at Al-Bilad Arabia, ensure getting the most out of the client’s legacy applications to prolong returns from existing IT investment”.

HP has been working with SAP on more than 55,000 customer implementations. The vendor is looking at working with Al Bilad Arabia to deliver cost effective SAP NetWeaver platform deployment. Alaa El Shimy, consulting and integration director at HP Middle East says, “As the site of the world’s fifth largest SAP application implementation, HP understands the benefits of SAP applications and wants to replicate the same benefits here.”
