RESELLER WORLD MIDDLE EAST -  Tuesday, April 28 2009

Seminar reaffirms the company’s commitment to regional channel partners and aims to maximize impact of new product line up

Canon Middle Eas hosted an in-depth training seminar in Dubai for its channel partners from across the GCC and Morocco. The three day training programme saw representatives converge to learn more about the latest photo, video and office personal products (OPP).

This seminar is the latest in a series of partner programmes designed to give Canon a competitive edge in key Middle East markets through closer channel relations and an exchange of product and market knowledge with our partners

“Canon is a leader in the photo, video and printing categories in terms of technology, performance and range. This success has been built on many factors, including our product range, the service we offer, and importantly, our ongoing programme for the development of channel partners across the region. This seminar is the latest in a series of partner programmes designed to give Canon a competitive edge in key Middle East markets through closer channel relations and an exchange of product and market knowledge with our partners,” said Hendrik Verbrugghe, CCI Marketing Manager, Canon Middle East.

The seminar programme was designed to help regional partners gain valuable insights into the development of new marketing strategies, provide hands on training for the new product line up, along with the opportunity to meet one on one and further improve Canon’s relationship with its channel partners.

Thirty participants from the company’s tier one regional channel partners were given comprehensive training on a total of 28 newly launched products which included 2 laser printers, 3 Inkjet Printers, 2 facsimiles and 1 scanner from the OPP segment; 9 DSC products and 2 DSLR cameras from the Photo Video category along with 3 HD camcorders, 2 DVD standard definition camcorders and 4 high definition flash camcorders. The newly launched products will form the basis Canon’s Spring Collection which will deliver even more choice and cutting edge technology to consumers in 2009.

“Canon Middle East has always offered state of the art products that combine cutting technology and value for money along with meeting the expectations of the diverse consumers of the region. This year’s seminar provided an ideal platform for our channel partners to gain a greater understanding of the latest photo, video and OPP product range and will also help partners cater to the needs of consumers across the Middle East and Morocco,” concluded Hendrik Verbrugghe, CCI Marketing Manager, Canon Middle East.
